Senior Node Software Engineer (NodeJS, React/Angular & GCP)

Role Overview

Senior Node Software Engineer (Node.js, React/Angular & GCP) for a partner company. The role focuses on building scalable, enterprise-grade backend systems and advising engineering teams on technical approaches and development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality enterprise software solutions
• Translate complex client/business requirements into scalable technical implementations
• Build backend services, APIs, and microservice architectures for large-scale applications
• Develop and optimize REST APIs for internal and external integrations
• Configure, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure for Node.js/JavaScript applications (with GCP)
• Implement unit and integration testing to support CI and reliable deployments
• Evaluate engineering trade-offs and recommend effective technical decisions
• Improve performance via monitoring, experimentation, and data-driven optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders; participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Support analytics platforms, campaign management solutions, and large-scale API environments

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional production software development
• Expert-level Node.js development with strong JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with React and/or Angular
• Strong backend architecture skills and scalable design principles
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Familiarity with Docker
• Experience with shell scripting and development automation
• Knowledge of CI/CD; tools like Jenkins, Jira, Datadog, or Splunk are a plus
• Ability to work effectively in distributed teams and communicate technical concepts
• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science/related field, or equivalent experience

• Experience in media, advertising technology, or similar high-scale environments
