The application is already migrated to Next.js but needs clearer architecture, standardized patterns, and a more consistent frontend structure—while still delivering new features.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the existing Vercel-hosted Next.js application and identify architectural gaps
  • Define and implement a clean, scalable frontend architecture
  • Build and maintain a consistent frontend data/API abstraction layer
  • Improve performance, maintainability, and scalability
  • Refactor fragmented or inconsistent code structures
  • Establish consistent patterns across pages, components, and modules
  • Continue active feature delivery alongside stabilization work
  • Translate requirements with stakeholders into technical implementations
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery efficiency

Requirements

  • 5+ years of frontend development experience
  • Production experience with Next.js and React
  • Experience with Vercel deployments and CI/CD workflows
  • Strong understanding of frontend architecture and system design
  • Experience with a headless CMS (WordPress, Contentful, Strapi, etc.)
  • Experience designing data fetching strategies: SSR / SSG / ISR / client-side hybrid
  • Experience improving existing large-scale codebases
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.)
  • Ability to impose structure in fast-moving or loosely organized environments
  • Strong communication with non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience scaling Next.js applications on Vercel
  • Performance optimization expertise (e.g., Core Web Vitals, caching strategies)

Contract Details

  • Duration: 3–4 months (possible extension)
  • Work model: Fully remote (immediate start preferred)
