Senior Mobile Software Engineer

Role Overview

Kforce is seeking a Senior Mobile Software Engineer for a remote contract opportunity. The role focuses on hands-on development of native iOS mobile applications, collaborating across product, design, and backend to deliver high-quality solutions within project scope.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver robust native iOS apps using Swift
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to implement business requirements
• Perform code reviews and promote best practices for security, usability, and performance
• Integrate third-party SDKs, APIs, and platform services
• Contribute to the design and implementation of reusable components
• Ensure deliverables meet project specifications and timelines

Requirements

• 5+ years of mobile development experience with a portfolio of native iOS applications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Proficiency in Swift (including SwiftUI) and Kotlin (including Jetpack Compose)
• Experience with platform tooling such as Xcode

Additional Technical Experience

• iOS/supporting libraries: Core Data, Combine, Foundation; and Android: Room, Hilt
• CI/CD: Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions, and ADO CI/CD
• Automated testing frameworks: JUnit, Espresso, XCTest, MokK, Robolectric, Swift Testing
• Analytics/monitoring and experimentation: Datadog, Adobe Analytics, crash reporting, A/B testing
• Feature flagging: LaunchDarkly
• Push notifications: Airship
• Distribution management: Firebase

Nice-to-Have

• Experience using AI-powered development tools: GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, IntelliJ
• Prior experience serving as a technical lead for a mobile application or product
