Senior Mobile Software Engineer

Role overview

Join Comun as a Senior Mobile Software Engineer and take ownership of the mobile experience for a fintech app. You’ll shape the product roadmap impact on mobile, translate design into production code, and ensure delivery quality and speed.

Responsibilities

• Shape and influence the mobile product roadmap and translate designs into production.
• Build and ship features across payments, banking, KYC, and authentication flows.
• Define and enforce frontend patterns, tooling, and processes to improve quality and accelerate delivery.
• Own observability and testing for core mobile flows.
• Evolve the design system / component library for consistency at scale.
• Partner with leadership on architecture decisions and the technical roadmap.

Requirements

• End-to-end technical ownership and strong reasoning about trade-offs.
• Ability to debug hard problems across mobile, API, and native layers.
• Experience shipping and maintaining iOS and Android apps via App Store and Google Play.
• Production experience with GraphQL.
• Comfortable with secrets management and CI/CD pipelines, including automated review workflows (e.g., pre-commit hooks).
• Deep understanding of frontend architecture, state management, testing, and mobile performance.
• Proven experience in fintech / financial services or similarly regulated, high-uptime environments.
• Strong React Native and TypeScript production experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with KYC, remittances, or payment flows.
• Familiarity with Expo managed vs. bare workflow trade-offs.
• Prior work with mobile observability tooling (e.g., Datadog or similar).
