Role overview

As Senior Mobile Engineering Manager at CardFlight, you will lead a team of engineers while driving product progress. You’ll partner with leadership, collaborate across teams to solve problems, and help shape department-wide policies and processes.

Responsibilities

Facilitate career growth for your engineering team (performance reviews, goal-setting, regular 1:1s)
Drive sustainable high output and ensure your team has the right processes to succeed
Participate in leadership discussions to move the department forward
Work across teams to unblock issues and solve cross-functional problems
Engage in company-wide meetings and outings and build domain understanding in payments

Requirements

5+ years professional experience as a full-time software engineer
2+ years experience leading a team, including:
- resource planning and goal setting
- performance management
- direct/formal mentorship
Ability to balance multiple priorities and switch contexts to unblock others
Experience building a team and owning parts of recruiting:
- interviewing
- reference checks
- making hiring decisions
