Senior Mobile Engineer, Thrive

Role Overview

Senior Mobile Engineer for the Thrive team at Tilt, owning the iOS experience across two live credit products. The role focuses on improving user conversion, running product experiments to support a unified product experience, and ensuring high precision in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Own iOS user experience across Thrive credit-building and cash advance products
  • Optimize conversion rates and funnel performance from application to active product use
• Run experimentation to validate the unified product vision
  • Test product constructs and UX approaches using a hypothesis → signal workflow
• Operate at the outcome level
  • Improve assigned metrics (e.g., conversion rate) through problem-solving with product and design partners
• Maintain precision in a regulated product
  • Reduce errors that can trigger compliance obligations (corrective notices, potential fee refunds, regulatory exposure)
• Grow into broader iOS ownership within 6–12 months
  • Collaborate closely with a staff iOS engineer as responsibilities expand
• Collaborate cross-functionally across PM, design, data science, and backend engineering

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as an iOS engineer building consumer-facing mobile products
• Proven ability to own technical tradeoffs and quality with limited oversight
• Non-negotiable consumer product background (built for daily user interaction)
• Experience with product experimentation and analytics
  • A/B testing frameworks such as Statsig or LaunchDarkly
  • Analytics platforms such as Amplitude or FullStory

• Experience supporting multiple product experiences and unified journey design
• Strong attention to detail due to compliance-driven requirements
• Comfort working in a lean, high-ownership team environment
