Senior Mobile Engineer

Role Overview

Join Inspiren as a Senior Mobile Engineer to lead and enhance its iOS and Android apps. You’ll primarily build with React Native, while also contributing native iOS/Android as needed. You may also support the web app and backend operations when required.

What You’ll Own

• Own the technical direction of the mobile app: architecture, maintainability, and long-term evolution
• Build and ship critical mobile features using React Native and appropriate native iOS/Android
• Establish and uphold mobile code quality through reviews and technical guidance
• Optimize performance, including handling degraded connectivity
• Implement meaningful automated testing to protect product quality
• Define and shape APIs and interfaces with backend engineers for durability and consistency
• Drive mobile observability (monitor performance and feature adoption)
• Debug user-reported issues and deliver timely fixes
• Mentor junior developers and promote mobile engineering best practices

What You Bring

• iOS & Android development: 5+ years, with strong iOS SDK and Xcode proficiency
• React Native: 3+ years building and maintaining production applications
• Performance optimization: memory management, multi-threading, and connectivity challenges
• AI adoption: actively uses AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) beyond prompting—automating tasks and integrations
• Observability/analytics: experience monitoring app health and driving data-informed improvements
• Debugging & ownership: strong ability to investigate and resolve complex iOS issues
• Collaboration: helpful, kind teammate who supports others

Compensation & Location

• Salary: $180,000–$200,000 + equity + benefits (medical, dental, vision)
• Flexible PTO
• Remote (US or Canada); NYC preferred
