Role overview

Join Cohere as Senior Manager of Solutions Architecture for the Americas. You will lead a Solutions Architecture team, drive enterprise revenue growth through technical sales, and build repeatable, scalable solution-selling practices while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales.

Key missions

• Lead and scale the Solutions Architecture team across the US & Canada with a focus on hiring, mentorship, and operational excellence.
• Drive revenue growth by partnering with Sales to develop and execute technical sales strategies that accelerate enterprise adoption.
• Establish scalable solution practices, including:
  • industry playbooks
  • executive narratives
  • business cases
  • technical delivery frameworks

Responsibilities

• Shape product direction and optimize technical sales execution.
• Engage and support strategic enterprise customers with complex solution engagements.
• Operate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Sales to improve deal execution and solution outcomes.
• Build repeatable solution-selling methodologies that help generalist teams operate at a consistently high level.

Requirements

• 8+ years in Solutions Architecture, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Enterprise Architecture.
• 5+ years leading customer-facing technical teams.
• Consulting mindset: lead complex enterprise solution engagements, develop business cases, implementation plans, and executive-ready recommendations.
• Commercial acumen: influence strategic deals and clearly articulate business value to executive stakeholders.
• Enterprise experience: design and deliver enterprise technology solutions in complex/regulated/large-scale environments.
• People leadership: proven experience hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing Solutions Architecture/Engineering teams.
• Strong technical understanding of modern AI architectures (including LLMs and agentic AI), enterprise integrations, cloud platforms, hybrid deployments, and security/governance.
• Exceptional communication skills and executive presence.

Nice to have

• Background in enterprise AI, cloud, or data platform companies or applied AI consulting.
• Experience supporting customers in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, energy, public sector).
• Experience in high-growth environments requiring speed, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration.
