Role Overview

Senior Manager of Product Design (Full remote) at Flock Safety. Lead efforts to improve usability, consistency, and overall design quality across the product suite, using customer insights and data to guide a clear product design vision.

Responsibilities

  • Set and evolve a design vision grounded in customer insights and data.
  • Elevate usability, consistency, and design quality across the product suite.
  • Strengthen alignment and partnership across Product, Engineering, and Design.
  • Act as a hands-on player-coach, mentoring and empowering a team of 9 designers.
  • Define and own core design foundations, including:
    • Design primitives
    • Information architecture
    • Interaction design
    • User interface design
  • Translate complex user needs into simple, effective product experiences with a focus on time-to-value.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product design experience, with deep expertise designing across multiple platforms, especially web applications.
  • Experience managing and developing product designers in a player-coach leadership capacity (ideally in a high-growth environment).
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills; able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity while driving clarity in fast-paced, high-growth settings.
  • Strong UX foundation across core design disciplines (craft and product intuition).

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience designing B2B SaaS products used in varied user contexts.
  • Strong ability to evaluate and continually elevate design quality across experiences.
