Senior Manager of People Products (Workday)

Role Overview

Toast is hiring a Senior Manager of People Products (Workday). You will serve as the Product Owner for Workday and a strategic partner to the IT organization, owning the roadmap and global support for core People systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and presentation of annual Workday product strategies, aligned with the broader People Products portfolio.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to design a scalable Workday ecosystem and translate the aligned roadmap into bi-annual roadmaps.
• Manage and lead a global team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity.
• Oversee Workday ticket management, including configuration, testing, and troubleshooting to deliver world-class global support.
• Champion AI-forward strategies and ensure the technology stack evolves with business needs.
• Contribute to maturing SOX compliance processes in a public company environment.

Requirements

• 10+ years in HR technology, with deep expertise in Workday HCM and Talent modules.
• Strong knowledge of Workday architecture, APIs, and product management / Agile practices.
• Proven experience managing global teams and leading large-scale system implementations.
• Experience in hyper-growth environments; comfortable operating amid ambiguity.
• “People-first” leadership style.

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Familiarity with broader HR tech ecosystems and complex third-party integrations.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, HR, or related field.
