Senior Manager of Data Science

Join Abridge as the Senior Manager of Data Science. You will lead a world-class data science team, define and execute a comprehensive data strategy, and drive product strategy through data-driven insights.

Key missions

• Build and manage a high-performing data science organization by providing guidance, mentorship, and high standards.
• Drive product strategy with data, including:
  • user behavior analysis
  • experimentation
• Partner with the Research team to develop models and model evaluation frameworks, including defining quality metrics.
• Communicate the data strategy with executive stakeholders and make critical technical infrastructure decisions.

Requirements

• 12+ years in data science or analytics, particularly in product-facing roles where you used data to shape strategy, goal setting, and execution.
• MS or PhD in a quantitative field (statistics, mathematics, computer science, physics, or related).
• Strong experience building data capabilities from early stages through rapid growth, collaborating closely with data engineering and machine learning.
• Proven leadership: build teams, drive urgency in execution, and prioritize appropriately in fast growth.
• Data visualization experience with both:
  • BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Sigma)
  • code-based tools (e.g., Seaborn, ggplot2)
• Ability to communicate quantitative findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Deep experience with Python, R, SQL for large-scale analytics.
• Knowledge of healthcare, including EHRs and healthcare billing.
• Experience shaping Analytics Engineering (recruiting and supporting).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with analytics engineering practices and early-stage data capability building (implied by the requirements).
