Senior Manager of Data Insights

Join Docker as the Senior Manager of Data Insights. You will lead a team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists to build Docker’s next-generation data framework, driving data governance, infrastructure management, and advanced modeling to support machine learning foundations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, and scientists.
• Own the roadmap and execution for data modeling and delivery of data insights.
• Prioritize projects aligned with business objectives and delivering measurable ROI.
• Facilitate alignment with business leaders to understand data needs, identify data capabilities, and define objectives.
• Streamline workflows from stakeholder requests to deliverables across data teams.
• Build and maintain centralized data stores and modern data architectures.
• Provide or guide incident response capabilities for data teams.
• Support vendor selection and contract negotiation; manage vendor/partner relationships.

Requirements

• 6+ years of direct people management experience and a record of developing data professionals.
• 10+ years leading teams building modern data architectures with increasing responsibility.
• Strong skills in data modeling and machine learning technologies.
• Deep understanding of data governance and data infrastructure.
• Strong analytical abilities to define key metrics and improve operational outcomes.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and driving progress through influence.
• Experience program-managing and operating effectively in a startup/high-growth environment.

Preferred / nice-to-haves

• OKRs (OKR framework) knowledge.
• Experience with product management and engineering backgrounds.
• Track record of incident response framework ownership for data teams.
