Senior Manager, Final Mile Delivery

Role overview

SupplyHouse is seeking a Senior Manager, Final Mile Delivery to join the Operations team, reporting to the Director of Fulfillment. This role leads the strategy and execution of the delivery network, integrating same-day fulfillment, on-demand aggregator platforms (e.g., DoorDash, Roadie, Uber Freight), local pickup, and zone-skipping through UPS.

This is a remote role for candidates in (or willing to relocate to) specified U.S. states, with approximately 35% travel to on-site fulfillment/office locations.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end on-demand delivery program across company drivers and aggregator partners (DoorDash, Roadie, and emerging partners), including:
  • onboarding, performance management
  • cost optimization
  • SLA achievement
• Lead zone-skipping strategy with UPS and other parcel carriers to reduce transit times and ship-from-zone costs.
• Design and scale same-day and next-day local delivery offerings, including:
  • time windows and cutoff management
  • driver/route orchestration
• Manage local pickup operations (BOPIS/will call) and improve throughput and pickup-point customer experience.
• Build and run the hub-and-spoke local delivery framework, including facilities, staffing, routing software, and inter-fulfillment-center transfer coordination.
• Establish and track delivery KPIs (on-time %, cost per delivery, aggregator utilization, customer satisfaction) and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner with Technology, Supply Chain, and Merchandising to ensure inventory positioning supports same-day commitments and aggregator eligibility.
• Manage carrier and aggregator relationships:
  • negotiate contracts
  • ensure SLA adherence
  • stay current on platform capabilities and pricing changes
• Build and maintain an operational playbook for scaling last-mile delivery as fulfillment centers expand.
• Maintain compliance, safety, and licensing standards for any company-operated fleet assets.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years experience in last-mile delivery, on-demand logistics, or same-day fulfillment (aggregator experience strongly preferred).
• Hands-on experience managing DoorDash, Roadie, Uber, or equivalent on-demand delivery networks.
• Experience with zone-skipping and/or carrier optimization (UPS, FedEx, or regional carriers) to reduce transit time and cost.
• Familiarity with routing/dispatch software (e.g., OptimoRoute, Circuit, DispatchTrack, or similar).
• Strong data and analytics skills to build and interpret delivery performance dashboards and translate insights into operations.
