Senior Manager, Deployment

Role overview

Senior Manager, Deployments leads Versaterm’s deployment and data migration & integration functions. You will manage a team of managers and specialists delivering, installing, configuring, and maintaining the Versaterm software suite across public safety customer environments, ensuring high-quality delivery against commitments while improving operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop people: coach and manage Deployment Specialists and Managers, provide direction and feedback, and manage performance.
• Own delivery standards across tooling, documentation practices, and quality benchmarks for solutions across different architectures.
• Plan and optimize capacity: oversee scheduling, staffing, and capacity planning for Deployment and Data Migration & Integration to meet commitments sustainably.
• Drive continuous improvement: identify systemic inefficiencies and improve deployment processes to reduce time-to-deploy and enhance client outcomes.
• Escalation and cross-functional coordination: handle complex deployment/integration issues and coordinate resolution with Product, Engineering, and Implementation.
• People growth & team scaling: contribute to hiring, onboarding frameworks, and development planning.
• Operational reporting: represent the functions in planning cycles with delivery forecasts, headcount needs, and operational risk assessments.
• Compliance in regulated environments: ensure adherence to security clearance and applicable data handling standards.
• Pre-sales support: provide senior technical input for scoping conversations when integration/deployment complexity requires it.

Requirements

• Degree/diploma in Computer Science/IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8–12 years experience in technical delivery, deployment, or systems implementation.
• 3–5 years people management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing managers and leading multi-team functions in a software delivery or professional services environment.
