Role overview

Join Plaid as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Embedded Insights). You’ll work across the end-to-end ML lifecycle, analyze large and complex datasets, and collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to deliver customer-facing machine learning capabilities.

Key missions / responsibilities

Analyze large and complex datasets to identify opportunities for applying machine learning.
Partner with Product and Engineering teams to integrate models into client-facing products.
Maintain and improve model health by building new features and defining effective retraining strategies.

Requirements

Advanced degree (or equivalent experience) in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related fields.
5+ years of machine learning experience, including deploying ML models into real-world, customer-facing systems.
Proficiency in SQL and Python, plus data visualization/analysis tools.
Strong ability to communicate complex technical systems and decision-making.
Ability to analyze large, complex financial datasets to derive insights.
High agency and creativity; experience identifying and proposing high-impact ML opportunities.

Nice-to-haves

Experience shaping impactful ML products and working directly with customer needs.
