Role overview

Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Computer Vision) at Pinterest Labs, working on the visual modeling team. You’ll develop Pinterest Canvas, an internal text-to-image generative model.

Responsibilities

Prototype new model architectures for Pinterest Canvas.
Work hands-on with diffusion-based text-to-image generative models.
Collect and prepare visual training data relevant to the models.
Publish and share your work through research and technical communication.
Read research papers, participate in group discussions, and contribute to the company’s visual generative strategy.
Mentor junior researchers or research interns within Pinterest Labs.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with diffusion text-to-image models.
Strong computer vision background.
5+ years of industry experience in computer vision.
M.S. or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related fields.
Experience in generative computer vision, preferably with various forms of diffusion models.
Publications at top ML conferences (preferred/expected).

Nice-to-haves

Track record of research impact via top-tier ML conference publications.
Demonstrated mentoring/mentorship experience in research settings.
