Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Role Overview

Senior Machine Learning Engineer on Autodesk’s Growth Experience Technology ML team (GET-ML). You will design, develop, and evolve machine learning systems powering conversational AI, search/retrieval, multi-agent solutions, and intelligent automation for Autodesk customer platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ML capabilities for customer-facing experiences (conversational QA, search & retrieval, agent-based workflows, intelligent automation)
• Train, adapt, and improve classical ML, deep learning, and LLM-based models for production use cases
• Perform statistical analysis and data exploration to create datasets for training, experimentation, and evaluation
• Translate business objectives and product requirements into data/statistics/ML problems
• Collaborate with ML engineers, MLOps, and product partners to deploy, monitor, and iterate on ML systems at scale
• Provide technical leadership by sharing best practices and influencing how ML systems are designed, evaluated, and operated
• Contribute to experimentation and continuous improvement of ML-powered systems in production

Requirements

• Strong machine learning fundamentals and end-to-end ML lifecycle experience (data exploration → modeling → experimentation → deployment → iteration)
• Experience building production ML systems for real customers
• Ability to apply modern ML techniques, including large language models, in a rigorous and measurable way

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with retrieval/ranking and conversational systems
• Experience with LLM-driven conversational platforms (e.g., agent workflows, query routing)
• Exposure to multi-agent systems and intelligent orchestration
• Experience evaluating and measuring ML system quality at scale
