About the role

Role Overview

Senior Machine Learning Engineer for Autodesk’s Growth Experience Technology Machine Learning (GET-ML) team. You will design, develop, and evolve ML systems powering conversational AI, search, personalization, and automation—especially the Commerce and Support Assistant (CSA), an LLM-driven conversational platform in production. The team is also expanding into multi-agent systems and intelligent orchestration to enable scalable, real-world customer interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement ML capabilities for customer-facing platforms, including:
    • Conversational question answering
    • Search and retrieval
    • Agent-based workflows
    • Intelligent automation
  • Train, adapt, and improve machine learning models, including:
    • Classical ML models
    • Deep learning models
    • LLM-based systems
  • Perform data exploration and statistical analysis to generate datasets for training, experimentation, and evaluation
  • Translate business objectives and product requirements into data/statistics/ML problems
  • Collaborate with ML engineers, MLOps, product managers, and business stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge solutions
  • Work with engineering and MLOps partners to deploy, monitor, and iterate on ML systems operating at scale
  • Provide technical leadership (best practices, mentoring, and contributing to evaluation and operations approaches)

Requirements

  • Strong interest and ability to work across the full machine learning lifecycle (from data exploration and hypothesis to modeling, experimentation, deployment, and iteration)
  • Ability to apply modern ML techniques in a rigorous and measurable way, including large language models

Nice-to-haves (implied by responsibilities)

  • Experience adapting/fine-tuning models and exploring representation learning and ranking approaches
  • Experience experimenting with agent-based architectures and orchestration
  • Experience with evaluation/measurement of ML systems in production
