Senior Localization Specialist, Italian

Role: Senior Localization Specialist (Italian)

You’ll join the Globalization team within Product to ensure the Taskrabbit experience is fully localized and culturally resonant across international markets.

What you’ll do

• Manage global localization workflows on Smartling across all markets/locales, with dedicated oversight for the Italian locale.
• Coordinate translation work with external agencies and contractors, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain reference materials (e.g., glossaries, style guides, multilingual guidelines) to keep a consistent local voice and ensure best practices.
• Adapt, proofread, edit, or transcreate content for Italian; contribute to content development by writing original copy where appropriate.
• Serve as an internal consultant to support stakeholders with cultural nuance guidance and globalization best practices.
• Help evolve linguistic assets with the Globalization team and implement innovative tech solutions within a small international team.

Requirements

• Experienced localization professional with full ownership of Italian localization needs.
• Ability to manage both end-to-end localization and high-touch, complex requests outside automated workflows.
• Strong cultural and linguistic capability for Italian, including familiarity with localization governance (guidelines, glossaries, and style standards).

Location & work mode

• Based in London (Soho)
• Hybrid: 2 days per week in the Central London office
• UK right to work required
