Senior Legal Counsel

Role Overview

Infosys is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join the commercial transactions group within its Legal department, supporting the Americas Sales region (U.S., Canada, and Latin America). The role is primarily focused on negotiating customer and vendor agreements and advising internal stakeholders in a fast-paced, in-house environment.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate commercial agreements with external clients and vendors
• Provide legal and business counsel to internal teams to resolve issues
• Manage external counsel where applicable
• Ensure agreements are executed in line with Infosys corporate risk parameters and policies
• Lead or support projects across the department/organization as assigned
• Support work connected to contracting and dispute/conflict resolution, including litigation-related activities as needed

Requirements

• 5+ years of legal experience after law school graduation
• J.D. from an accredited law school; strong academic performance
• Must be a member of a State Bar
• Blend of law firm and in-house experience; preferably transactional IP/IT with 4+ years in-house
• Experience with litigation (including mediation/arbitration), responding to complaints, and drafting settlement agreements
• Strong commercial drafting and negotiation skills for agreements including:
  • complex master outsourcing services and technology agreements
  • software licensing agreements
  • software reseller and services agreements
  • sponsorship/marketing agreements
  • teaming agreements
  • RFPs/RFIs
  • NDAs
  • SOWs (statements of work)
  • subcontractor agreements
  • cloud-hosted services agreements
• Background knowledge in outsourcing, IT, data privacy, IP, software licensing, export controls/compliance, SaaS, and dispute/conflict resolution (preferred)
• Project management skills to manage multiple transactions/projects simultaneously
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage deadlines in a demanding environment
• Strong ethics, professionalism, attention to detail, and stakeholder relationship management
• Ability to identify and manage legal/business risk

Location / Work Setup

• Prefer candidates based in Richardson, TX; Indianapolis, IN; New York City, NY; Phoenix, AZ; or Raleigh, NC (or nearby)
• Open to strong candidates across the U.S.
• Remote flexibility with occasional travel for litigation and stakeholder meetings
