Role overview

Senior Legal Counsel advising product and business teams on the design, structuring, and launch of crypto/web3, fintech, and payments products. The role requires strong regulatory judgment and practical product sense, working across multiple jurisdictions as rules evolve.

Responsibilities

• Advise product and business teams on how to design, structure, and launch new products and features while balancing commercial goals and regulatory requirements.
• Assess how crypto and web3 products fit relevant regulatory frameworks; identify when licensing, registration, or structuring changes are needed.
• Provide clear regulatory analysis on topics such as token classification, financial product/index classification, derivatives, and DeFi; convert findings into actionable positions for the business.
• Lead and support license applications end-to-end (submissions, regulator Q&A, and tracking conditions/obligations).
• Monitor regulatory developments across crypto, web3, fintech, and payments and translate them into practical guidance.
• Identify regulatory/legal issues early and provide clear strategic guidance to stakeholders across the company.
• Embed compliance into product design, including AML, KYC, sanctions, and travel rule considerations.
• Review marketing and customer-facing materials for regulatory compliance, including paid placement/sponsorship/disclosure needs.
