About the role
Role overview
(Senior) Legal AI Product Specialist supporting AI solutions that transform contract negotiation and contract management for major companies. You’ll partner with Product Managers and the Data Science team to build and improve AI capabilities grounded in legal and contractual data.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Data Science to develop and implement AI solutions for contract negotiation and handling.
- Craft and maintain a dataset of contract records and legal models.
- Act as an escalation point for the Data Science team.
- Become a subject matter expert on contract topics and contract clauses.
- Partner with Product Management to resolve issues and identify opportunities for product improvement.
Requirements
- Self-starter with strong communication skills and comfort collaborating in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability to learn new subject matter quickly and build solutions with Product and Data Science teams.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and analyzing contracts across varied business contexts.
- Strong legal background (corporate law emphasized), with additional relevant experience in finance, consulting, or data science.
- Experience with generative AI, ideally hands-on work with large language models (LLMs).
- 4–6+ years of experience in corporate law, finance, consulting, or data science.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication.
- Strong analytical/quantitative skills; ability to identify discrepancies in large volumes of information.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, research, and follow through to resolve issues.
- Experience with Excel and other data analysis tools to interpret and manipulate complex datasets.
Nice to haves
- Law firm or in-house legal department experience.
- Significant personal/academic/professional experience applying LLMs to practical problems.
