- Build and maintain cloud-native services and support them through their full operational lifespan.
- Develop secure, performant applications, collaborating with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, and developers in an Agile environment.
- Combine strong Java/Spring backend expertise with hands-on front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Deploy services to major cloud platforms and ensure operational readiness (debugging, troubleshooting, and documentation).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development building production-grade enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, computational complexity, and end-to-end system design.
- Advanced Java (11 and 17) and Spring Boot knowledge; ability to design clean, idiomatic RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating microservices (decomposition, inter-service communication, observability).
- Front-end experience with React; familiarity with Angular or Vue is a plus.
- Strong SQL skills; experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server (including query tuning and schema design).
- CI/CD tooling experience and Git-based workflows (branching strategies, code review, release management).
- Experience deploying to AWS, Azure, or GCP; familiarity with managed services, networking, and identity primitives.
- Strong debugging/root-cause analysis skills and disciplined documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Event-driven architecture experience (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar streaming platforms).
- Containerization/orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
- Distributed systems principles (eventual consistency, CAP trade-offs, idempotency, saga patterns).
- Automation testing experience with modern frameworks; contribution to TDD/BDD practices.
Compensation & Logistics
- Full-time (Direct W2)
- Remote: 100% remote within the U.S.
- Salary range: $90,000–$120,000 annually
