Role Overview

Senior Java Developer (Remote, Full-time)

Precision Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Java Developer with 10+ years of experience to design, develop, and implement scalable enterprise-level applications using modern Java and cloud-native practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and the broader Spring ecosystem.
• Build RESTful APIs and backend services with a microservices architecture to support integration across distributed systems.
• Apply OOP, SOLID, and design patterns to create modular, reusable, and maintainable systems.
• Develop microservices and enable service communication using REST, Spring Boot, and messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Implement database-driven applications using SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB), including optimized SQL and stored procedures.
• Build data access layers using Hibernate, JPA, and Spring Data.
• Implement application security with Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT, and RBAC.
• Create and run unit/integration tests using JUnit and Mockito (and other testing frameworks).
• Use Maven and Gradle for build automation and dependency management.
• Set up CI/CD using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Deploy and manage services using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Integrate with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP for scalability, monitoring, and deployment.
• Use Git (GitHub/Bitbucket/GitLab) for version control and collaboration.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance through logging, debugging, and tuning.
• Work in Agile/Scrum (sprint planning, code reviews, backlog refinement).
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to architecture and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience building enterprise applications.
• Strong expertise in Java and the Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data).
• Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB).
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA/Spring Data data access.
• Security implementation experience with Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT, and RBAC.
• Testing experience with JUnit and Mockito.
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
• Containerization and orchestration experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Version control experience with Git.

Nice to Have

• Experience with messaging systems like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Performance tuning and operational support experience.
• Experience mentoring and leading code reviews.
