Role Overview

Senior Java Developer (Remote)

Precision Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Java Developer with 10+ years of professional experience to design, develop, and implement scalable enterprise-level applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java and the Spring Framework (including Spring Boot and Spring MVC)
• Build RESTful APIs and backend services using microservices architecture
• Apply OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns to create modular, reusable architectures
• Develop microservices-based applications and enable communication via REST and messaging (Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ)
• Implement database-driven applications using SQL/NoSQL (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB), including optimized queries and stored procedures
• Build data access layers with Hibernate, JPA, and Spring Data
• Implement security using Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT, and RBAC
• Create and run unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito
• Use Maven and Gradle for builds and dependency management
• Integrate with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Deploy and manage applications with Docker and Kubernetes
• Integrate with cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP
• Use Git-based version control for collaboration
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance (logging, debugging, performance tuning)
• Work in Agile/Scrum (sprint planning, code reviews, backlog refinement)
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to architecture/design standards

Requirements

• Java and strong backend development experience (10+ years)
• Proficiency with Spring Boot / Spring MVC / Spring Framework and microservices architecture
• Experience building RESTful APIs
• Hands-on work with SQL/NoSQL databases (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server/MongoDB)
• Experience with data access: Hibernate, JPA, Spring Data
• Security implementation using Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT, and RBAC
• Testing with JUnit and Mockito
• CI/CD experience with Jenkins or GitHub/GitLab/Azure DevOps
• Containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Version control with Git

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Familiarity with Selenium (mentioned in testing frameworks)
• Strong Agile/Scrum participation and mentoring experience
