Role Overview

Senior Java Developer (Remote)

Precision Technologies is seeking a highly experienced Java Developer with 10+ years of experience to design, develop, and implement scalable enterprise applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build secure, high-performance systems using modern Agile and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Java and the Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• Build RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot, Spring Web, and Microservices Architecture
• Apply OOP, SOLID, and design patterns to create modular, reusable, maintainable architectures
• Develop microservices and enable inter-service communication with REST and messaging (e.g., Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ)
• Implement database-driven applications using SQL and NoSQL (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB)
• Build data access layers with Hibernate, JPA, and Spring Data
• Implement security using Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT, and RBAC
• Develop and run tests using JUnit and Mockito (unit/integration)
• Automate builds and dependency management with Maven and Gradle
• Integrate CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Deploy and manage services using Docker and Kubernetes
• Integrate with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Use Git workflows to collaborate across distributed teams
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance via logging, debugging, and tuning
• Work in Agile/Scrum: sprint planning, code reviews, backlog refinement, continuous improvement
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to architecture and engineering best practices

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot / Spring Framework
• Experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems
• Hands-on with relational and NoSQL databases; SQL optimization and stored procedures
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA/Spring Data
• Security implementation with Spring Security, OAuth2, JWT, and RBAC
• Testing with JUnit and Mockito
• CI/CD and deployment automation (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/Azure DevOps)
• Containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
• Cloud experience with AWS/Azure/GCP
• Version control with Git

Nice-to-Haves

• Messaging systems experience with Apache Kafka and/or RabbitMQ
• UI/testing tool familiarity mentioned: Selenium
• Active mentoring/leadership in engineering best practices
