Role Overview

Kforce is seeking a Senior Java Developer for a remote backend engineering role. You’ll support a management system that powers tools and libraries used across the platform, with a key focus on migrating from PCF to GCP.

Responsibilities

Support and enhance a platform powering a client order management system
Build and maintain backend services and shared tools/libraries for the management system
Lead/execute work for migration from PCF to GCP, including backend service updates
Work effectively on an independent, fast-paced team

Requirements

5+ years of experience
Strong background in Java and Spring Boot
Backend development experience building microservices
Java 21+
Spring Framework 5.2+ and Spring Boot 2.2+
Experience with Kafka
Experience with one or more databases: Oracle, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Redis
Experience with GCP/GKE (AWS acceptable if strong)
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
