Senior iOS Engineer

Role Overview

Senior iOS Engineer on a cross-functional team within Zillow’s AI and media organization. You will help shape next-generation mobile AI experiences by building net-new iOS technology end-to-end—from rapid prototyping through production shipping and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain production-quality iOS features in Swift for sensor-rich, interactive experiences.
• Collaborate with applied scientists, ML engineers, and designers to turn prototypes into shippable products, iterating using user feedback and data.
• Integrate and optimize camera, sensor, and real-time processing flows.
• Guide users through multi-step capture workflows and surface in-app feedback.
• Apply modern iOS architecture patterns:
  • SwiftUI
  • Swift Concurrency
  • Dependency Injection
  • Modularization
• Drive quality via unit/UI tests, metrics, and logging; work with backend teams on contracts and end-to-end debugging.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, and mentoring.

Requirements

• 5+ years mobile app development; 3+ years focused on iOS.
• Experience taking software from prototype to production, especially in ambiguous/evolving problem spaces.
• Strong proficiency in Swift, including SwiftUI and Swift Concurrency, plus core iOS design patterns.
• Experience with complex capture/scanning workflows.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.

Nice-to-Haves

• ARKit, 3D graphics, computer vision, or on-device ML.
• Integrating on-device experiences with cloud services or experimentation frameworks.
