About the role
Role overview
Jump is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to help build and evolve its mobile apps. You’ll be an early member of the mobile team, contributing hands-on to core features, architecture, and technical direction as the product scales.
What you’ll do
- Own end-to-end development for key mobile features from concept through deployment
- Debug and resolve issues across shared platform code (Kotlin) and native iOS code (Swift)
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code with robust unit tests
- Partner with product managers and designers to deliver thoughtful, fan-facing experiences
- Identify and implement improvements to optimize performance, stability, and scalability
- Share iOS expertise and strengthen a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
- Use AI-assisted tooling to prototype, refactor, and analyze performance issues, validating via testing and code review
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of hands-on experience shipping high-quality mobile applications
- Strong proficiency in Swift
- Experience using or interest in learning Kotlin / Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)
- Ability to architect mobile apps and make sound technical tradeoffs
- Experience with consumer-facing mobile apps used by engaged audiences
- Detail-oriented testing practices (unit, integration, performance)
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (code generation/debugging/review) with an understanding of strengths/limitations
Nice to have
- GraphQL (e.g., Apollo)
- CI/CD tooling (e.g., CircleCI)
- Experience with multi-tenant and/or white-label mobile apps
