About the role

Role overview

Join the Apple Platforms team as a Senior iOS Engineer to build and improve native iOS, macOS (Catalyst-based), and iPad apps. You’ll collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend to deliver new features and enhance existing ones, with a focus on quality and performance.

Responsibilities

Partner with Product and Design to define and implement new features and continuously improve existing ones
Maintain and optimize quality and performance of Apple platform apps
Implement unit tests and UI tests for new features
Work cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Backend to build and maintain features across the Apple apps

Requirements

5+ years of experience developing natively for iOS / Apple platforms
Based in NYC
Strong fundamentals in UIKit and the Swift programming language
Solid understanding of app and view lifecycles for UIKit-based apps
Eye for good design and attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
Ability to manage time independently and work well in a team

Nice-to-haves / Additional experience

Experience with Firebase / Firestore
Experience with CI/CD systems
Experience with logging systems
