Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Role overview

Join Twilio’s Stytch team as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. You’ll design and build the infrastructure powering secure, developer-first identity experiences, working in a high-ownership environment with startup speed.

Responsibilities

• Design and build infrastructure for Stytch’s identity platform, including authentication, authorization, and emerging identity use cases.
• Build and own platform capabilities that scale across Twilio.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership across Twilio and Stytch teams to align on architecture and integrate platform capabilities.
• Improve production quality, resilience, and reliability of infrastructure and services.
• Create and maintain observability and on-call systems to support operations.
• Write design documentation and lead technical discussions.

Requirements

• Strong experience with containerization and orchestration: Kubernetes (EKS) and Docker.
• Infrastructure as Code experience (e.g., Terraform, GitOps or similar).
• Strong AWS experience.
• Experience scaling cloud infrastructure for distributed systems, including relational databases and high-availability architectures.
• Ability to design and run observability and on-call systems (e.g., Datadog, ELK, Prometheus/Grafana).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including comfortable writing design docs.
• 6+ years as an Infrastructure/Platform Engineer operating high-scale, mission-critical cloud systems.
• Hands-on proficiency in at least one modern programming language used in production.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Nice-to-haves / Additional context

• Experience with multi-region/global infrastructure, including disaster recovery and data replication.
• Familiarity with enterprise-scale platform challenges: multi-tenant infrastructure, compliance, and cost/performance optimization.
• Availability for non-standard hours and on-call rotation (weekends and holidays).
