About the role
Role Overview
Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Architect (Remote)
Design, implement, and govern enterprise Identity and Access Management infrastructure with a strong focus on the Ping Identity platform suite. Ensure secure authentication, Single Sign-On (SSO), and least-privilege access, while supporting compliance through recurring access reviews and certification campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Access Review & Governance: Design and execute routine user access reviews, identity audits, and identity lifecycle management workflows across enterprise applications.
- Policy Management: Build and configure RBAC/ABAC and policy-based access controls using PingAccess and PingFederate.
- Platform Administration: Administer the Ping Identity suite including PingOne, PingFederate, PingAccess, and PingID.
- Application Integration: Onboard and integrate new enterprise applications with PingOne using OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.
- Incident & Run Support: Troubleshoot access/authentication issues including MFA failures and authentication flows; maintain knowledge bases and SOPs.
- Compliance & Reporting: Produce audit-ready compliance reports for SOX, HIPAA, or GDPR by validating user entitlements and resolving access outliers.
Requirements
- 15+ years hands-on experience deploying and administering the Ping Identity Suite (PingFederate, PingAccess, PingOne, PingID).
- Strong knowledge of federated identity and SSO.
- Working understanding of OAuth, OIDC, SAML 2.0, and LDAP.
- Proven experience leading access certification campaigns, segregation of duties (SoD), and identity governance.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and effective cross-functional communication with IT and auditing teams.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience producing compliance evidence for SOX/HIPAA/GDPR and resolving entitlement exceptions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Stated remote pay range: $90–$100 per hour (U.S. based; hourly range provided).
