Responsibilities
- Create and iterate creative briefs that translate brand/product/experience intent into concrete visual directions.
- Provide critique and design feedback across iterations, including structuring feedback for clarity and actionability.
- Direct creative models through prompts/briefs to guide design outputs toward aesthetic and usability goals.
- Develop strong visual direction across assets spanning print and digital (e.g., Web, Product, Slides, Brand, Gaming).
- Mentor or guide creative decisions during team critiques / design reviews.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional design experience.
- Strong experience writing creative briefs (prompts) and using them to drive design outputs.
- Professional capability across multiple design disciplines (not limited to one specialty).
- Demonstrated ability to give professional design feedback and run design reviews.
- Structured high-level briefing experience (e.g., translating abstract brand values into visual rules/boundaries).
- Experience providing direction/feedback, including supporting or mentoring designers.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI evaluation and/or AI-native creative workflows (implied by the role’s brief/prompt and creative model feedback focus).
- Broad familiarity with creative tooling and design systems.
Engagement & Logistics
- Remote-first and async work.
- Consultant/freelance engagement: 15–40 hours/week depending on project workload.
- Paid via independent contractor (1099) with highly competitive, market-based rates.
Process
- Apply via the Notion page.
- Complete an ~45-minute Creative Brief Assessment (skills-based; unpaid) covering prompting/brief creation and critique.
- A successful assessment may lead to offer + project placement and onboarding steps (background check, SOW, MFA).
