Senior Google Cloud Security Consultant (United States)
You will serve as a cloud security architect and trusted advisor, helping enterprise clients design and operationalize secure, scalable Google Cloud environments. The work combines executive advisory with hands-on security engineering and delivery leadership across architecture, assessments, and modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead Google Cloud security architecture design and reviews across:
- IAM, networking
- Workload protection and data protection
- Logging, monitoring, and compliance
- Advise on cloud security strategy aligned with regulatory requirements, business risk, and operational priorities
- Conduct cloud security posture assessments to identify:
- Misconfigurations, vulnerabilities
- Control gaps and architectural weaknesses
- Produce executive deliverables (risk findings, remediation roadmaps, security maturity improvement plans)
- Implement and operationalize Security Command Center (including SCC Enterprise) and integrate findings into SOC/SIEM/risk workflows
- Advise on Google SecOps, SIEM modernization, detection engineering, and cloud-native security operations
- Support SIEM migration/modernization (telemetry strategy, log management, alert optimization)
- Advise customers on secure Google Cloud design and scalable cloud-native security architectures
- Use CNAPP/CSPM tooling (e.g., Wiz) for vulnerability management, attack path analysis, and entitlement risk reduction
- Advise on securing AI and Vertex AI workloads (identity/access control, data governance, monitoring)
- Own technical delivery workstreams from discovery through implementation
- Create architecture diagrams, assessments, roadmaps, implementation guides, and reusable security frameworks
- Mentor consultants and contribute to capability development
- Support client workshops, executive briefings, and technical governance
- Drive continuous improvement via automation and standardized delivery methodologies
Requirements
- 6+ years of cybersecurity consulting experience, including 2+ years focused on Google Cloud
- Strong hands-on expertise in Google Cloud security architecture (IAM, networking, data protection, logging, compliance)
- Experience delivering cloud security posture assessments and enterprise-scale modernization programs
- Experience implementing and/or operating Security Command Center or equivalent cloud-native security platforms
- Familiarity with SIEM/SOC operations, detection engineering, and security telemetry strategies
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g., FedRAMP, HIPAA, PCI, FISMA, CMMC, HITRUST)
- Strong understanding of CNAPP/CSPM tools and cloud security frameworks
- Ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise engagements

- Exposure to Google SecOps and SIEM modernization programs
- Practical experience securing AI/Vertex AI workloads
