Senior Go Developer

Role overview

Senior Go Developer (100% Remote, United States) at Bright Vision Technologies. You will design and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications using Go, focusing on latency, concurrency, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Build production backend services and APIs in Go
• Translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions in collaboration with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders
• Raise the engineering bar through code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship of junior engineers
• Contribute to a shared codebase used across multiple teams
• Apply strong debugging and performance engineering practices in production systems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years professional software engineering experience, with significant time in Go
• Strong Go concurrency fundamentals: goroutines, channels, contexts
• Hands-on experience building production gRPC and/or REST APIs in Go
• Kubernetes-native development experience: client-go, controller-runtime
• Experience with relational and key-value data stores
• Strong distributed systems and networking fundamentals
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployment
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred qualifications

• Open-source contributions to Go projects
• Experience writing Kubernetes operators/controllers
• Familiarity with eBPF, service mesh, or low-level systems programming
• Exposure to security-sensitive Go work (cryptography, auth)
• Experience with WASM, TinyGo, or embedded systems
