About the role

Senior Go Developer (Remote)

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Go (Golang) Developer to design and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications.

Role Overview

  • Work on systems where latency, concurrency, and operational efficiency are key concerns
  • Contribute to a shared codebase across multiple teams
  • Translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions
  • Raise the bar via code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship of junior engineers
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop backend services and cloud-native applications in Go
  • Build and maintain gRPC and/or REST APIs for production systems
  • Develop and support infrastructure/tooling and distributed systems components
  • Improve performance and reliability through strong debugging and engineering practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant time in Go
  • Strong knowledge of Go concurrency patterns: goroutines, channels, contexts
  • Hands-on experience building production gRPC and/or REST APIs in Go
  • Experience with Kubernetes-native development (e.g., client-go, controller-runtime)
  • Solid experience with relational and key-value data stores
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and networking fundamentals
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployments
  • Strong debugging and performance engineering skills
  • Clear communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Open-source contributions to Go-based projects
  • Experience writing Kubernetes operators or controllers
  • Familiarity with eBPF, service mesh, or low-level systems programming
  • Experience with security-sensitive Go projects (cryptography/auth)
  • Familiarity with WASM, TinyGo, or embedded systems
