Role Overview

Senior Go Developer (100% Remote, United States)

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Go engineer to design and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications. The work emphasizes latency, concurrency, and operational efficiency, and you’ll contribute to a shared codebase across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

Design and develop backend services and infrastructure tooling in Go
Build and maintain gRPC and/or REST APIs in production environments
Develop Kubernetes-native components and tooling using Kubernetes APIs and controllers
Collaborate with cross-functional partners (product, design, engineering, operations, business) to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions
Raise engineering quality through code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship of junior engineers
Improve performance and reliability through debugging and engineering best practices

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant time in Go
Strong command of Go concurrency patterns (goroutines, channels, contexts)
Hands-on experience building production gRPC and/or REST APIs in Go
Experience with Kubernetes-native development (e.g., client-go, controller-runtime)
Solid experience with relational and key-value data stores
Strong understanding of distributed systems and networking fundamentals
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployment
Strong debugging, performance-engineering, and communication/documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

Open-source contributions to Go-based projects
Experience writing Kubernetes operators or controllers
Familiarity with eBPF, service mesh, or low-level systems programming
Exposure to security-sensitive Go projects (cryptography, auth)
Familiarity with WASM, TinyGo, or embedded systems
