Role Overview
Senior Go Developer (100% Remote, United States)
Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Go engineer to design and build high-performance backend services, infrastructure tooling, and cloud-native applications. The work emphasizes latency, concurrency, and operational efficiency, and you’ll contribute to a shared codebase across multiple teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend services and infrastructure tooling in Go
- Build and maintain gRPC and/or REST APIs in production environments
- Develop Kubernetes-native components and tooling using Kubernetes APIs and controllers
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (product, design, engineering, operations, business) to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions
- Raise engineering quality through code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship of junior engineers
- Improve performance and reliability through debugging and engineering best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant time in Go
- Strong command of Go concurrency patterns (goroutines, channels, contexts)
- Hands-on experience building production gRPC and/or REST APIs in Go
- Experience with Kubernetes-native development (e.g., client-go, controller-runtime)
- Solid experience with relational and key-value data stores
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and networking fundamentals
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployment
- Strong debugging, performance-engineering, and communication/documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Open-source contributions to Go-based projects
- Experience writing Kubernetes operators or controllers
- Familiarity with eBPF, service mesh, or low-level systems programming
- Exposure to security-sensitive Go projects (cryptography, auth)
- Familiarity with WASM, TinyGo, or embedded systems
