About the role

Role: Senior GL Accountant

Own and scale core general ledger (GL) and close processes in a high-growth technology environment across multiple entities.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review journal entries; manage balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules for monthly and quarterly close
Own GL activities for multiple entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards (US GAAP)
Manage procure-to-pay lifecycle (vendor processes, spend controls, and policy compliance)
Administer spend management processes and maintain visibility into company expenses
Maintain prepaid asset schedules, amortization schedules, and lease accounting in line with ASC 842
Manage cash and banking activities, including reconciliations across business entities
Support budgeting, financial close, and variance analysis with Finance leadership and FP&A
Support state and multi-state tax compliance and reporting
Provide financial analysis, reports, and ad hoc insights to internal stakeholders
Drive improvements across accounting systems and workflows (ERP, procurement, financial management tools)
Build scalable accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls
Support audit preparation and maintain audit-ready financial operations

Requirements

4+ years of accounting experience with strong general ledger expertise in a multi-entity corporate environment
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Strong, practical knowledge of US GAAP
Hands-on experience with ERP systems and procurement processes
Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and data management
Ability to thrive in high-growth/startup environments and improve processes
Strong internal controls/accounting best practices and exceptional attention to detail
Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration

Preferred / Nice-to-haves

Revenue accounting experience (ASC 606)
Lease accounting and ASC 842 experience
Financial statement audit experience
Experience in SaaS, cloud, FinTech/FinOps, or other technology-driven industries
Familiarity with cloud marketplaces (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
