Senior Fullstack Software Engineer - JavaScript / TypeScript

Role Overview

Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (JavaScript / TypeScript) for Rithum’s Retailers business function. The role focuses on building high-quality, maintainable software with strong quality practices throughout development, alongside a DevOps culture and a “you build it, you run it” mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on system architecture decisions aligned with business goals.
• Lead thorough code reviews and mentor junior developers on best practices and coding quality.
• Provide technical guidance and feedback to help junior and mid-level engineers grow.
• Collaborate with lead designers and architects to drive product forward, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Work cross-functionally with other teams to ensure seamless software delivery and alignment.
• Break down large, complex tasks into smaller components and distribute work across the team.
• Participate in Agile processes (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, task prioritization).
• Communicate with stakeholders (product managers, designers, and clients) to clarify requirements.
• Handle complex debugging and technical issues beyond junior scope.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support the ownership model.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience developing with Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Node.js.

Nice-to-haves / Preferred (from “Primary technologies”)

• Frontend/Fullstack experience across TypeScript/JavaScript, React.js, Angular, and Node.js.
• AWS services (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, Kinesis, API Gateway, Step Functions).
• IaC tools such as Terraform and/or CloudFormation (including Serverless).
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, testing frameworks, and version control/build/debug tooling.
• Familiarity with additional AWS services (e.g., RDS, ECS) and data/storage technologies (e.g., Redis, NoSQL).
