Role overview

Join Exoticca as a Senior Fullstack Engineer in the Trip Management System domain. You’ll tackle customer and business problems by building and evolving systems that enable travel specialists to design, configure, and launch complex travel products at scale. You’ll work across PHP, Node.js, and modern AI tooling, applying the right approach per problem.

Key missions

Build and evolve systems that let travel specialists design, configure, and launch complex travel products at scale.
Transform destinations, itineraries, flights, hotels, and services into reliable, structured, sellable products.
Develop and improve capabilities supporting pricing, booking breakdowns, payments, refunds, and wallet flows.

Responsibilities / what you’ll do

Design and implement features across frontend and backend.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs for performance and reliability.
Contribute to event-driven systems and message-based communication between services.
Improve engineering practices around testing, code quality, and observability.
Use AI tools/LLMs to accelerate coding, debugging, design, analysis, and automation.

Requirements

Strong problem-solving mindset for ambiguous problems.
Product-oriented thinking (care about why, not just how).
Frontend: React and React Native.
Backend: PHP.
Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and clean architecture.
Experience with event-driven architectures (EDA) and message-based service communication.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git best practices (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Observability experience: logging, monitoring, and tracing in distributed systems.
Strong REST API design/integration knowledge.
Emphasis on testing (unit, integration) and maintainable/scalable code.
Excellent collaboration and communication in cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

Data-informed decision making.
Experience with AI tools/LLMs, automation workflows, and AI-assisted engineering.
Experience implementing observability and testing practices in distributed systems.
