Senior Fullstack Engineer

Role Overview

Senior Fullstack Engineer at Jukebox Health, a core product role owning features end-to-end—from the client experience and partner workflow down to backend services, data models, and the infrastructure that runs them.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship product features end-to-end across the stack:
  • Front end: React + TypeScript
  • Back end: Ruby on Rails
  • Plus the database and supporting services
• Own product areas end-to-end, including design, implementation, performance, and reliability
• Make pragmatic decisions about data modeling, API design, and infrastructure on GCP as the company scales
• Partner with product, design, and clinical/operations teams to simplify complex healthcare workflows
• Raise the team’s technical standards via code review, design feedback, and shared engineering practices
• Mentor and sponsor less experienced engineers
• Build and integrate AI-powered features into production

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping production web applications
• Strong end-to-end skills:
  • React + TypeScript
  • Ruby on Rails
• Solid understanding of relational databases and application infrastructure
• Comfort working with a major cloud provider (GCP or AWS)
• Demonstrated track record of owning features end-to-end and making sound architectural trade-offs
• Experience building or integrating AI-powered features in production applications (e.g., LLM-backed workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, ML-assisted automation)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Experience with healthcare data, HIPAA, or other compliance-sensitive environments
• Experience in early-stage/high-growth startups and establishing engineering practices at scale

Compensation & Benefits (Highlights)

• $180,000–$210,000/year + company equity
