About the role

Role Overview

Senior Fullstack Engineer on the Distribution Team at Cloudbeds. You’ll build and evolve products that connect Cloudbeds’ hospitality ecosystem to major global distribution channels, improving performance, security, and integration reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Backend: Design and implement robust distribution-platform features in PHP, with strong attention to performance and scalability.
Frontend: Build intuitive user experiences using React and Vue, ensuring seamless interactions across the platform.
Microservices Migration: Contribute to the migration of core components into microservices and help shape the long-term technical vision.
Legacy Modernization: Re-architect and refactor legacy systems to align with modern standards.
Security: Architect secure solutions for financial transactions and sensitive personal data; apply security best practices.
Quality & Testing: Write clean, well-tested, well-documented code with comprehensive coverage (unit, integration, end-to-end).
Architecture Leadership: Lead technical discussions and drive alignment between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Mentorship: Mentor via pair programming and code reviews to elevate code quality and team processes.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to plan, build, and ship high-quality features.

Requirements

5+ years of PHP web application software engineering experience.
5+ years with JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js and React preferred).
Strong hands-on experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
Solid expertise in security for applications handling financial and personal data.
Demonstrated performance optimization experience.
Expert knowledge of relational databases (indexing and search).
Experience with test automation across unit, integration, and E2E levels.
Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized development workflows.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with distribution/OTA integration challenges and revenue-impacting reliability work.
Deeper experience in microservices migration planning and execution.
