Senior Fullstack Engineer

Role Overview

Senior Fullstack Engineer on the Distribution Team at Cloudbeds. You will build and improve products that connect Cloudbeds’ ecosystem to major distribution channels, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performance integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend: Design and implement robust distribution-platform features using PHP, focusing on performance optimization and scalability.
• Frontend: Build intuitive user experiences using React and Vue, enabling seamless interactions across the ecosystem.
• Security & Data: Architect secure solutions for financial transactions and sensitive personal data.
• Microservices Migration: Contribute to the ongoing migration of core components to microservices and help shape the long-term technical vision.
• Legacy Refactoring: Re-architect and refactor legacy systems to meet modern standards.
• Quality & Testing: Write clean, well-documented code with strong test coverage (unit, integration, end-to-end).
• Collaboration & Leadership: Lead technical discussions with technical and non-technical stakeholders and align backend/frontend architecture decisions.
• Mentorship: Mentor via pair programming and code reviews to raise code quality and team practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of PHP web application engineering experience.
• 5+ years with JavaScript frameworks; Vue.js and React preferred.
• Strong modern JavaScript/TypeScript experience.
• Hands-on Docker and containerized development workflows.
• Expertise in performance optimization.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., indexing/search performance).
• Strong understanding of security for applications handling financial and personal data.
• Experience with test automation across levels.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience refactoring/migrating systems to microservices.
• Experience supporting complex integration challenges with OTAs/distribution channels.
