Senior Fullstack Engineer

Role Overview

Senior Fullstack Engineer on the Distribution Team at Cloudbeds. You will build and enhance products that connect Cloudbeds’ ecosystem to major distribution channels, with a focus on scalable microservices, performance, and security.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust backend features and improvements in PHP, prioritizing performance and scalability.
• Build frontend experiences using React and Vue, ensuring seamless user interactions.
• Architect secure solutions for handling financial transactions and sensitive personal data.
• Write clean, well-tested, well-documented code with strong test coverage (unit, integration, end-to-end).
• Lead technical discussions and drive alignment between technical and non-technical stakeholders on backend/frontend architecture.
• Contribute to a microservices migration initiative and help shape long-term technical vision.
• Refactor and re-architect legacy systems toward modern standards.
• Mentor through pair programming and code reviews.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to plan, build, and ship high-quality features.

Requirements

• 5+ years PHP web application engineering experience.
• 5+ years with JavaScript frameworks; Vue.js and React preferred.
• Strong modern JavaScript/TypeScript experience.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized development workflows.
• Expertise in performance optimization and strong relational database fundamentals (indexing/search).
• Security knowledge for applications handling financial transactions and personal data.
• Experience with test automation across multiple levels (unit/integration/E2E).

Nice-to-haves

• Additional depth in test automation and continuous quality practices.
• Strong familiarity with large-scale integration/distribution challenges (OTAs, seamless booking flows).
