Role Overview

Join Astra as a Senior Fullstack Engineer with a primary focus on frontend development using React and TypeScript, while contributing to backend development in Python.

Key Missions & Responsibilities

Lead frontend architecture and set quality standards across interfaces, including:
- Component design
- State management
- Performance and scalability
Design and implement React/TypeScript interfaces for:
- Payments dashboard
- Reporting surfaces
- Embedded product experiences (turn complex financial workflows into intuitive, accessible UI)
Establish and maintain frontend best practices, including:
- Component libraries and design patterns
- Mentoring engineers and running code reviews for quality and consistency
Collaborate on API design and integration with backend engineers
Own features end-to-end, from the data layer through the UI

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience with significant frontend ownership
Strong production experience with React and TypeScript
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
Frontend expertise: component architecture and state management
Cloud: Google Cloud Platform or similar
Backend capabilities: Python, REST APIs, and web frameworks
Comfort extending and building APIs independently
Collaborative team experience with shared codebases and a code review culture
Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, and testing frameworks

Nice-to-haves

Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design or Clean Architecture patterns
Experience building internal tooling for operations or compliance teams
Ownership of a design system / component library
Fintech/financial product experience (dashboards, reporting, transaction workflows)
Data visualization and reporting (charts, dashboards, analytics surfaces)
