Senior Fullstack Engineer

Role Overview

Join ALT as a Senior Fullstack Engineer to build the financial engine of the platform. You’ll own critical components including a custom double-entry ledger, payment provider integrations, and core lending products, ensuring financial integrity and reliable money movement.

Key Missions

• Build and maintain a tailor-made double-entry accounting system to ensure every cent is correctly recorded on the platform.
• Design and scale lending products, from credit disbursement logic to the automated loan lifecycle management.
• Implement robust payment gateway and banking partner integrations, targeting 99.99% reliability and seamless reconciliation.
• Create user-friendly interfaces for payments and lending flows.

Responsibilities

• Own lending and financial infrastructure end-to-end.
• Architect and deliver reliable integrations.
• Support team growth through code reviews, technical documentation, and mentorship.

Requirements

• Fintech/Payments experience: experience with ledgers, payment processors, or lending products.
• Database mastery: expert in SQL and relational database design, able to design transaction-safe systems under load.
• Experience: 5+ years, with a heavy backend focus.
• Strong ability to build modern frontends.
• Fullstack ownership: take a feature from technical design to production UI.
• Infrastructure mindset: motivated by building ledger/lending engines from the ground up.
• Correctness obsession for payments: deep thinking around idempotency, race conditions, and data consistency.
• Pragmatic engineering: choose when to build internally vs leverage third-party APIs.
• Product-minded approach: understand fund flow and communicate financial status clearly.

Nice to Have

• Experience with distributed systems, credit/risk modeling, or the alternative asset space.
