Role overview

As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at StackAdapt, you’ll help build and evolve the advertising platform used to power high-impact programmatic marketing campaigns. The role is Remote First (Canada-based) and emphasizes strong engineering practices, scalable systems, and cross-functional collaboration.

What you’ll be doing

Advise the team on pragmatic technical approaches that support engineering excellence and developer happiness
Create coherent, iterative plans to deliver effective solutions across planning and execution
Architect scalable web APIs, component libraries, and backend systems aligned to product roadmap goals
Collaborate with Data Science, Product, Design, and senior engineers to identify and solve technical challenges
Advise on technical debt consolidation to efficiently support business needs
Mentor the team and lead by example through software development best practices and thorough code/spec reviews
Identify system bottlenecks and improve performance with actionable solutions
Serve as a major individual contributor on critical projects delivering customer value

What you’ll bring to the table

6+ years building highly performant web applications with strong UX
Strong preference for full-stack experience with: React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Ruby on Rails, and Go
Experience using a test-driven approach with core full-stack (or comparable) technologies
Ability to collaborate closely with Product & Design on end-to-end product experiences
Experience with relational databases and key-value stores
Proven skills in analyzing, benchmarking, and optimizing web application performance across the stack
Experience leading large-scale modernization of legacy systems end-to-end
Comfort with ambiguity and simplifying complex problems
