Role overview

Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (remote-first)

You will help accelerate the build-out of standalone data products by improving existing APIs/delivery methods and creating new ones across frontend and backend.

Key missions

• Build and scale self-serve, product-led offerings to attract new clients and generate revenue
• Work with stakeholders to clarify ambiguities and ship usable solutions
• Design and update systems using solid design patterns to support extensibility and business evolution

Responsibilities

• Own development of APIs and backend services, plus corresponding frontend experiences
• Continuously improve delivery methods for existing and new products
• Write technical design docs and translate them into projects, milestones, and backlogs
• Collaborate across engineering, design, and product management
• Support code quality and development practices across the team
• Mentor and develop engineers

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of industry experience with examples of strategic technical problem-solving
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Python (4+ years) in production environments
• SQL and SQL stores (e.g., PostgreSQL or MySQL)
• REST API design and backend experience (e.g., Node.js/Django/FastAPI/Flask/Rails)
• React.js + TypeScript (3+ years)
• Experience with Next.js (or similar React frameworks)
• Frontend testing frameworks and practices
• Experience collaborating with UI/UX designers in a customer-centric way
• Ability to scope, break down, and estimate work; proven delivery track record
• Strong written communication (e.g., Slack/Chat and docs)
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

• Experience with Figma (or similar UX design tools)
• Experience building/maintaining a UI component library
• Strong CSS fundamentals; experience with Tailwind CSS
• Vercel experience
• Experience with page-load and interaction performance
