Role: Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

Build the infrastructure that enables clinical care to be delivered at home, working on an end-to-end TypeScript stack where AI is a core principle.

What you’ll do

• Design and build product features end-to-end across the Heim tech stack, taking ownership from first principles to production.
• Architect and implement AI-powered workflows, including:
  • scheduling optimization
  • practitioner dispatch
  • clinical data enrichment
  • agentic referral automations to reduce manual nurse touchpoints
• Own the full lifecycle of features from TypeScript frontend through backend services, infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and testing—without relying on separate DevOps/QA teams.
• Build and maintain APIs, services, and data models that underpin clinical operations, with reliability and auditability required for a regulated environment.
• Collaborate with product and clinical ops to turn ambiguous real-world problems into working software.
• Make pragmatic speed vs. quality trade-offs and advocate when trade-offs aren’t acceptable.
• Contribute to architecture and infrastructure decisions as Heim scales across UK NHS Trusts and into new markets.
• Improve the codebase continuously (performance, clarity, resilience) as part of everyday delivery.

Requirements / expectations

• Strong full-stack TypeScript capability across UI and infrastructure.
• Fluent use of agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor) and ability to form your own views on where agentic workflows can improve delivery.
• Comfort working in systems where technical correctness matters (scheduling errors, data quality, and uptime impact patient care).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience designing AI-enabled operational workflows in regulated, audit-sensitive contexts.
• Experience scaling platforms for healthcare providers and clinical scheduling/dispatch domains.
