Role Overview

Senior Full Stack Software Developer (Remote, United States preferred)

Join Burtch Works’ Engineering and Technology team as a high-agency, production-grade engineer with end-to-end ownership of internal and client-facing applications, reliability, and integrations across a modern stack.

Responsibilities

End-to-end technical ownership: plan, build, and maintain internal and client-facing applications with attention to performance and scalability.
System integration: manage integrations with third-party tools including Stripe, Zendesk, Vimeo, and Campaign Monitor.
Data infrastructure: optimize and scale PostgreSQL databases to support research data and AI-driven analyst projects.
Deployment & reliability: maintain high-availability AWS server environments and ensure stable deployments across Development, Staging, and Production.
Platform maintenance & collaboration: secure and optimize WordPress-based content systems and collaborate with research teams on tool alignment and compliance.

Requirements

5+ years of professional software engineering with a full-stack delivery focus.
Expert-level Python using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
Strong frontend skills with React, Next.js, or Vue.
AWS experience including EC2, RDS, and containerized workloads.
PostgreSQL database management.
Multi-environment deployment experience (Dev/Staging/Production).
WordPress maintenance and API integrations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in financial technology, market data, or investment research platforms.
Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
Familiarity with financial media or data compliance frameworks.
